Learning online

What materials and documentation will I receive?

You receive digital course materials. Additional independent study is not included in the stated live teaching units unless explicitly described otherwise. A participation certificate may be provided; it is not an official language certificate.

Are lessons recorded?

Live lessons are not normally recorded. Exceptions require advance information and any necessary consent. Attendance is documented internally.

What if Mondovia cancels a lesson?

Lessons cancelled by Mondovia are made up or taught by a suitable replacement teacher. No particular teacher is guaranteed.

What if the course is cancelled entirely?

You can choose between a full refund and transfer to a later course run. Changes and cancellations are sent to the email address supplied at booking. Binding participation terms will be provided before sales begin.

What if a group is full?

Once the maximum group size is reached, further direct bookings for that group are unavailable. Our team can add you to a waiting list or discuss a later course run. Joining a waiting list is not a confirmed course booking.

Are the courses online or in person?

Our initial courses take place entirely live online. You learn with a teacher and a consistent group. You can join from anywhere in the world.

What does real-time teaching mean?

You join lessons at agreed times, speak with the teacher and other participants, and can ask questions directly. These are not collections of recorded videos.

What do I need for online classes?

You need a stable internet connection, microphone and camera. A laptop or desktop is recommended. Personal class access and materials are sent by email approximately one week before the course starts. Contact help@mondovia-academy.com if you need assistance.

How long is a teaching unit?

One teaching unit (UE) lasts 45 minutes. The stated number of units describes the taught component; additional independent practice is expected.

Finding your course

Which course matches my German level?

The free Quick Level Check assesses reading, vocabulary and grammar and gives initial guidance from A1 to B2. It does not assess speaking, listening or writing. Our advisory team confirms the appropriate course entry point. The course finder also considers your goals and available time.

Can I start with no German?

The A1–B2 complete course is suitable for beginners with no previous knowledge. The part-time B2 course requires B1 German.

Can I join the complete course at a later level?

Joining at a later stage can be discussed following a placement assessment. The remaining workload and individual price must be agreed with our advisory team. Direct booking covers the complete programme.

Which professional language course is right for my profession?

Doctors and pharmacists have separate courses with profession-specific content. Both require B2 German. If your professional category or next step is unclear, our team can advise you.

When does my course start?

Group courses start after the minimum number of paid places is reached. If this happens within four weeks of the first paid booking, up to two additional weeks may be used to fill the group; the course starts by then. If the minimum is reached later, we arrange the start without an additional filling period. Teaching days and times are agreed with the group. This does not promise a maximum waiting period before the minimum is reached.

Exams and next steps

Are exam fees included in the course price?

No. Exams are held externally and examination centre fees are not included. Support with exam registration and organisation is planned for the exam intensive courses.

Does taking part guarantee that I will pass?

No guarantee is possible. We prepare you for the agreed format, simulate exam situations and provide feedback. Your previous knowledge, attendance and independent practice influence your progress.

What if I have failed an exam?

The Exam check & second chance includes a review of available results, a writing and speaking sample, and a personal recommendation. After completion, you receive the recommendation and a personal €69 voucher by email. It is valid for three months from issue, for one use towards your follow-up course, including employer-funded bookings. It cannot be used for another exam check or exchanged for cash. Our advisory team assigns it to your participant place.

How does an exam intensive differ from a language course?

A language course builds skills over a longer period. An exam intensive is focused training shortly before an exam, concentrating on task formats, simulations, time management and personal feedback.

Booking and course places

Can my employer book places for several employees?

Yes. Employers can book multiple places and courses together. Paid places count towards the group, and participant names can be supplied until the course starts. We offer individual company terms for employers and larger groups. Please contact us.

Can another employee take my place?

A free participant change is planned up until the course starts. Please arrange this with our team so entry requirements and access can be clarified. Binding terms will be provided before sales begin.

Can I book without an account?

Yes. At launch, all bookings are made as a guest. You do not need an account. Multiple courses and places can be ordered together.

Where do I enter a discount code?

There is a discount code field in the cart. Once applied, the discount appears in your order summary. Whether a code applies depends on its conditions.

Will booking here charge me money?

The website is in test mode. It creates test orders only, charges no real payments and sends no order confirmations or invoices yet.

How can I change or cancel a booking?

Please contact our advisory team about changes. Binding booking, withdrawal and cancellation terms will be provided before sales begin. The current test system does not create real course bookings.
